Optimizarea telescopului meu newtonian 76mm F/9 -Revamping of my Three Inch F/9 Newtonian Reflector
Telescopul meu reflector tip Newton D=76mm F=700mm,dupa modernizare. Acesta a fost initial un telescop ''Optus'' comercializat(si de) reteaua Lidl. Inafara de optica din sticla si suportul din plastic al cautatorului,toate celelalte elemente ale tubului optic sunt confectionate din metal. Am testat telescopul pe obiecte ceresti .Am vazut ca rezolva Porrima in Virgo ,Epsilon 1-2 in Lyra si Alula Australis /Xi in Ursa Mare si mi-a prezentat patru sau cinci benzi pe Jupiter ,Syrtis Major si calota polara a lui Marte. Acest telescop e un supravietuitor! My three inch F/9 Newtonian reflector ,after revamping. This was initially an ''Optus'' telescop sold (also by) Lidl . Excepting the glass optics and the plastic finder support ,all other components are made of metal. I have tested the telescope on heavenly bodies and I find out it resolved double stars like Porrima in Virgo ,Epsilon 1-2 in Lyra and Alula Australis /Xi Ursae Majoris and it showed four or five belts on Jupiter ,Syrtis Major and the Polar Cap on Mars. This telescope is a survivor! |
Telescopul a avut ocularul cu axa orizontala.Am rotit portocularul cu 45 grade pentru pozitia recomandata de Herschel. De fapt am rotit cu 45 de grade axele orizontale care se aseaza in lagarele furcii. The telescope had the ocular in horizontal direction.I rotated the focuser with 45 degree to to position recommended by Herschel. Actually I rotated with 45 degree the horizontal trunions sitting in the fork. |
In constructia originala , tubul culisant al portocularului intra in fasciculul de lumina al oglinzii principale. Initially ,the draw tube of the focuser was obstructing the light of the primary mirror.

Detaliu al trepiedului din lemn ,de constructie proprie.Bratele de rigidizare sunt tot din lemn si sunt prinse in suruburi normale , suruburi cu carlig iar capul unui surub cu ochi joaca rolul de inel de asamblare. Bucsa de nailon care forma ajustaj cu axa verticala a furcii nu mai exista.Am confectionat la un atelier de strungarie aceasta bucsa metalica ce formeaza ajustaj cu joc mic cu axul furcii.In acelasi timp ,prin diametrul sau ,bucsa va permite folosirea pe acelasi trepied a unui alt reflector mic si a unui lunete super RFT de 60mm F/4. The nylon bushing fitting the vertical shaft of the fork there is no more.A machining shop made this steel bushing matching the fork shaft.When deciding the diameter of the bushing, I had the choice to make the tripod available to be used by another small reflector and of a 60mm F/4 super RFT refractor. |
Trepiedul de constructie proprie nu mai este colapsabil decat pe directie radiala dar pe aceasta directie se poate inchide complet.
The DIY wooden tripod is only radially collapsible but by this direction it can be fully closed.
Portocularul ,desi de dimensiuni normale , a fost prevazut de catre proiectant cu o bucsa care permitea folosirea ocularelor de 24,5 mm.Acea bucsa a fost inlocuita cu o bucsa de aluminiu care permite folosirea ocularelor pe standard de 1.25''. Ocularul din imagine este un ocular militar de tip Kellner cu focala de 40mm ,primit de la prietenul meu Silviu aka ''zoth''.La o marire de 17,5x ,ocularul cuprinde intreg roiul deschis al Pleiadelor M45 iar imaginea stelelor este foarte frumoasa ,punctiforma peste intregul camp vizual de doua grade. Even if the focuser is of normal size ,it was provided by design with a cap allowing the use of 0.965'' oculars. The original cap was replaced with an Aluminium cap allowing the use of 1.25'' oculars. The ocular in this picture is a 40mm Kellnerian provided by my friend Silviu aka ''zoth''.At a magnification of 17.5 x ,it embrace the full open cluster of M45 or Pleiades ,while the images of the stars are pin pointed all across two degree visual field. |

Oculare ortoscopice /Orthoscopic oculars
Oculare mele ortoscopice.

De la dreapta la stanga : Circle V 9mm , Circle V 7mm ,CircleV 5mm si Kasai 4mm.

Toate aceste patru oculare ortoscopice sunt de productie japoneza.
Ocularele Circle V au diametrul standard japonez de 0.965'' dar fiecare este montat intr-un adaptor pentru utilizarea in portocularele de 1.25''.
Ocularul ortoscopic de 4mm este construit pe standardul american de 1.25''.
Campul vizual al acestor oculare este intradevar mai mic decat al altor tipuri de oculare.
Iar pupila de iesire este intradevar apropiata de lentila de ochi.
Dar nici marimea campului vizual si nici pozitia pupilei de iesire nu imi creaza nici un fel de probleme.
Castigul adus de calitatea deosebita a imaginii este mult mai important decat caracterul sportiv, de-a dreptul spartan , al acestor oculare.
Cei care nu se pot adapta la ''stilul ortoscopic'' se pot indrepta spre formulele mult mai sclifosite.
Dar eu nu trebuie sa fac aceasta.
Fiecare din aceste oculare este foarte bun si este o placere sa-l folosesc!
All this orthoscopic oculars were manufactured in Japan.
The Circle V oculars have an outside diameter according to Japanese standard of 0.965'' but each is mounted in an adapter for use in 1.25'' focusers.
The 4mm orthoscopic is already built to american standard of 1.25''.
The visual field of these oculars is indeed smaller than of other types of oculars.
And the exit pupil is really close to the eye lens of the eyepiece.
But the size of the visual field and the shorter eye relief did not create any problems to me.
The gain brought by the high quality of the image is more important than the sporting , downright spartan character of these oculars.
Those who can not adapt to the '' orthoscopic style '' may turn to more finicky oculars.
But not me.
These oculars seem very good to me and it is a pleasure to use each of them!

Eclipsa de Soare de Vineri 20 Martie 2015
Eclipsa de Soare de Vineri 20 Martie 2015 a fost pentru mine destul de.... eclipsata de catre grijile profesionale terestre.
Am reusit de trei ori sa arunc cate o privire spre discul solar eclipsat printr-un filtru de sudura .
Si ''am reusit'' sa fac poza jalnica de mai jos ,cu aparatul Coolpix tinut in mana si prin acelasi filtru de sudura de calitate incalificabila.
In apropierea fazei maxime , scaderea luminii de zi a fost foarte evidenta.
Desi stiam ca aceasta urma sa se intample, fenomenul a fost foarte impresionant datorita dimensiunii sale.
Dintr-o data , ca o briza cosmica ,un amurg in miezul zilei si-a intins asupra noastra aripa sa adumbrita.
Si usurel,asa cum inevitabil a venit , tot atat de usurel si implacabil a plecat.
''Sic transit gloria eclipsis'' !

Astrofotografie stelara ''manuala'' si inca o coroana lunara /''Hand-held'' AP and another Moon Corona
In seara zilei de 23 Februarie am vazut o coroana lunara .
On the evening of 23 of February I saw a Moon Corona.
Dupa ce am facut cateva poze coroanei lunare , am fost curios sa vad daca aparatul compact Coolpix S3300,tinut in mana , este capabil sa inregistreze stele.
Iata mai jos doua incercari .
In prima poza,in centrul imaginii, se vad stele ale constelatiei Orion: Delta ,Epsilon si Zeta -celebra centura a lui Orion.Deasupra centurii se vad Betelgeus si Bellatrix.
Sub stelele centurii lui Orion se vad stelele din Theta 1 si Theta 2,fiecare unite intr-un obiect cu aspect stelar (presupun).
Iar sub ele se vede Kappa Ori la stanga si Rigel la dreapta.
Sub ramura bradului se vede Sirius si Mirzam din Canis Major.
Daca ducem o linie imaginara din Sirius prin Centura lui Orion ,vedem pe Aldebaran din Taurus.
After I took some pictures of the Moon Corona , I was curious to see if the handheld Coolpix S3300 compact camera is capable of recording stars.
Below are two attempts.
In the first picture, in the center of the image, one can see stars of the Orion constellation : Delta, Epsilon and Zeta -the stars of the famous Orion's belt.Above it are Betelgeus and Bellatrix.
Under the stars of Orion's belt one will see the stars of Theta 1 and of Theta 2 (I assume).
Bellow the Theta stars one is seeing Kappa Ori at left and Rigel at right.
At left,under the Cristmass tree branch is visible Sirius and Mirzam of Canis Major.
If you take an imaginary line from Sirius through Orion's Belt you will notice Aldebaran in Taurus,up at right.
In a doua poza ,se vad aceleasi stele ,mai putin complexul Theta din Orion.
In schimb ,la stanga -sus se vede Alhena ,adica Gamma Geminorum.
Sunt in mod structural un observator vizual al cerului instelat.
Am facut aceste experiente electro-digitale din curiozitate si ca divertisment.

Instead, up and left you can see Alhena or Gamma Geminorum.
I'm structurally a visual observer of the starry sky.
I made these electro-digital experiments out of curiosity and for entertainment.
