Moon on 12 of September

Today I was  actually trying to take pics of the pink clouds.
When the Sun is already bellow the horizon , the last rays illuminate the clouds from the bottom up.
The path of this rays is the longest,  this is why I believe their color is that beautiful pink (that I missed to see today).
However , I still managed to take a few pics of the nearby Moon.
No additional optics were used except the lens of the Nikon Coolpix S3300 compact camera.
This lens , when widely open , have an aperture of only 4.2mm !

Moon and the Southern Triumvirate

On 7 of September the Moon was  visible to the West-North West of the triangle formed by Saturn , Mars and Antares.
I recorded this pretty celestial landscape with the tripod mounted Coolpix S3300.

The show must go on ...and it goes on !

Update of 8 September 2016 :

This evening the Moon is really much closer to the so-called Triumvirate but the conjunction of Moon and Saturn didn't happen yet.

Update of  9 September 2016:

Setting the stage for tonight's show :

The light of the First Quarter Moon was reflected by the wavy waters of Mures River.

The Moon was to the North of  planet Mars when the pics were taken at about nine o'clock Local Time.

Some more pics with different settings  before saying ''goodbye'' to this Shallow Sky configuration.

This configurations were heralded by Sky&Telescope's
''This Week's Sky at a Glance'' and ''EarthSky News'' .Thank you !

Late Summer

It is late Summer.

Let's remember ... the name of the rose !

Rose petals ...

..a jar , water , the juice of  one lemon and   inverted sugar ...

..are the ingredients for the delicious juice of rose petals.

The red currant is the main ingredient for the  pink  cider at the right while the black currant is for the deep red cider at left.

New Moon , Waxing Crescent Moon

The New Moon was on first of September.
On second of September I was hunting without success the crescent of the New Moon , apparently passing close to Venus and Jupiter.
All I was able to see with naked eyes and  with binocular was Venus.

I was lucky on 2-nd of September when the crescent of the two days old Moon was visible to the East of Venus.

On 4-th of September the Moon passed at 1.5 degrees North of Spica.
Due to thin clouds , what I was able to see was the narrow crescent of the 2.92 days old Waxing Crescent Moon.

However , the Moon is such a beautiful celestial body !
No other wanderer of the sky is creating such marvelous landscapes!

Triangular configuration : Saturn , Mars , Antares on 1 September 2016

Thanks to ''This Week's Sky at a Glance'' of Sky&Telescope , I was aware about an interesting configuration to happen on the Southern sky.

http://www.skyandtelescope.com/observing/sky-at-a-glance/

It was about a perectly isosceles triangle to be formed by Saturn ,Mars and Antares on first of September.

On 31 of August the triangle was a bit step.
Saturn was the tip of the triangle at North with Mars at the Eastern tip and Antares at the Western tip.

However , on first of September ,the triangle was as predicted ,perfectly isosceles.
It was a beautiful sight with the naked eyes.
In the binocular it was a weird observation , a bit psychedelic because the three celestial bodies were seen very close to the edge of the visual filed , the color differences were striking and the scintilation of Antares was strong.

Anyway , a celestial show to remember !
